Government consultation on social value
The Minister for Implementation Oliver Dowden has launched a consultation on how government should take account of social value in the award of central government contracts. Though the consultation focuses on central government contracting you may find the approach of interest.
Any responses should be sent to Domestic-policy-queries@cabinetoffice.gov.uk. The consultation will close at 11:45pm on 10 June 2019.

Resonance would like to invite you to our launch event for the Resonance North West SITR Fund on 16 May, to bring in the new financial year and celebrate this key milestone for social investment in the North West.
The event will cover:
- the benefit of Social Investment Tax Relief (SITR) for investors;
- how we have supported social enterprises with investment from high net worth individuals;
- the benefits of social investment for the enterprises and the social impact delivered in their community, and;
- our aspirations for what we can collectively accomplish through this initiative across the North West, to help dismantle poverty and disadvantage.
You will also have the opportunity to meet the Resonance team and hear from local investors, advisors and social enterprises who will be sharing their own perspectives on social investment and the potential it has to transform our local communities.
