Greater Manchester Social Value Network
You are invited to attend the Greater Manchester Social Value Network Gathering on 10th Sept. It will focus on the question “How can we make social value part of everything we do?”
Five years ago, a small group of people with an interest in Greater Manchester, its people and Social Value developed the Greater Manchester Social Value Network (GMSVN). Constituted on a voluntary basis, the Network has sought to draw together the public, commercial and social sectors to put Social Value at the heart of everything which Greater Manchester does.
Since that beginning, it has grown as a network and achieved a lot including: showcasing Social Value practice; developing Social Value training; influencing policy and practice, and creating a movement for social change. However, there is lots more to do to meet GMSVN’s vision of ‘embedding Social Value into everything that Greater Manchester does.’
To celebrate their successes, to engage with their network further, and to attract and influence new audiences they invite you to a gathering of GMSVN members and wider stakeholders on the morning of Tuesday 10th September 2019.
Hosted by the Co-op Group at its iconic 1 Angel Square building in city centre Manchester, there will be an opportunity to hear from keynote speakers, Steve Murrells, CEO of the Co-op, and former Cabinet Minister Hazel Blears and to help us answer the question ‘How can we make social value part of everything we do?’
The Gathering is targeted at:
- GMSVN Members;
- Political representatives of local authorities in Greater Manchester;
- Those responsible for strategy and policy making across the public sector;
- Private sector business with an interest in enhancing their social value;
- Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector Organisations.
